This past Sunday Appellation was transformed from wine store extraordinaire to a cutting edge kitchen chemistry lab. Led by Industry City Distillery’s co-founder, distiller, and engineer Dave Kyrejko, our lucky attendees were led through the finer points of bitters production. Lemons were tinctured, herbs were decocted, and all of our guests left with the knowledge that ‘Hey, I can do this too!’
Joining Dave was T Edward Wines’ own spirits portfolio manager Scott Rosenbaum, who helped show off a selection of homemade bitters in his expertly crafted manhattans, and Ronak Parikh, sales manager of ICD distillery, who helped keep the show running smoothly. We’d like to thank everyone involved, from our tremendous panel of experts to everyone who attended. Just as Technical Reserve is the first product of its kind, our class was also one of the first bitters making classes in New York City. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to see what ya’ll cook up!
