Now this is an event that lived up to its name. There were mash and meat; and you better believe there was merriment. This last Friday we were graced with two New York visionaries: King’s County Distillery’s Colin Spoelman and Jake Dickson of Dickson’s Farmstand Meats. The discussion was lively and varied, ranging from the finer points of sustainable farming and gastronomy to distillation, food and whiskey pairings, and how to cook the perfect steak. Our incredible moderators Gabrielle Langholtz, and Craig Haney kept the conversation on point and even contributed a couple of stories of their own.
If there’s been a more incredible pairing of local whiskey and meat, we haven’t heard about it. We’d like to thank our incredible panel for lending their time and expertise and, of course, a great big thank you to everyone who attended! It was a stunning evening and we couldn’t have done it without you.
